Millions Of Years?

The teaching of evolution and millions of years has been taught in classrooms for many years. But should this be questioned? I am a Christian. I love God and his Son with all my heart and all my soul. But just because I believe, no, because I know there is a higher power, doesn't mean I can't prove that my God isn't real  through the science taught in science class today.
Recently my teacher has been discussing the theory of millions of years. I want to post why it is wrong.
The Earth is roughly 6,000 years old. Not 6,000,000. Why?

1) The Bible says that the Earth was created in six literal days.
The Hebrew word for day in Genesis 1 is yom, used with "evening" and morning. Thus light/dark. A 24 hour day. That word is not just mentioned in there. All through out the old testament the word is used for a 24 hour day, and the Bible clearly says when it not.

2) The genealogies of Genesis 5 and 11 clearly show 6,000 years
The genealogies of those chapters give very detailed descriptions of the family lines of Adam. It could only take place in 6,000 years.

3) Exodus 20:9-11 disproves all attempts to fit "millions of years"
" Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to theLord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates.11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy."

This passage gives reason as to why God commanded the Israelites to work six days and rest on the seventh. The word yom is used again when God tells the Israelites "days"  just like in Genesis 1. In Genesis 1, God could have used the three Hebrew words for an indefenite amount of time. He chose only the word that meant a literal "day"

These are just some of the things that prove the idea of millions of years wrong. Questions, comments? post them here!
